After 90 years underground, the City of Yonkers has undertaken steps to uncover the Saw Mill River and Create an urban park that celebrates the river.

Town of Greenburgh and Orange County | Mid-Hudson Sustainability Plan
The Town of Greenburgh partnered with Orange County to spearhead a region-wide sustainability plan that sets forth recommendations to ensure sustainability for seven counties in the lower Hudson Valley.

Village of Mamaroneck | Transit Oriented Development Study
The Village of Mamaroneck initiated a Transit-Oriented Development study to incentivize affordable, transit-accessible housing, to provide quality public space, and to link its Washingtonville neighborhood to the Central Business District.
Town of New Castle | Carriage House at Amsterdam Park
The Town of New Castle has restored an early 20th century carriage house which exists on property now used as parkland.
Westchester County | Mamaroneck River Floodplain Restoration
The Westchester County Department of Planning with other County departments restored nine acres of floodplain and upland buffer along the Mamaroneck River at Saxon Woods Park to enhance the stormwater management capability.

| Barbara Anderson City of Mount Vernon Zoning Board Barbara Anderson brings varied experience to her 19-year tenure on the city’s Zoning Board. Her dedication to community enabled her to master the land use issues that come before the Board and she assumed the unofficial role of Vice-Chair. she is instrumental in assisting the Board in positively shaping the long-term transformation of the city. |

| Patricia Chemka Speranza Village of Hastings-on-Hudson Planning Board Patty Chemka Speranza has left an indelible imprint on the planning process and on the future of the village. Joining the Planning board in 1995, she has been Chairperson since 2004. She was at the forefront of every major planning initiative undertaken by the Board, including establishing a new Two-Family Zoning District and the preparation of the Vision Plan in 1998. |

| Donald J. Coe Town of Bedford Planning Board Donald Coe contributed to the betterment of the Town of Bedford for most of his adult life. He served on the Planning board since 1973 and as its chairperson since 1986. A key participant in the creation of three town master plans, he was a significant force in implementing their recommendations. He served on the Katonah Village Improvement Society which led the effort to list Katonah’s Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places. |

| John Humbach City of Mount Vernon Architecture Review Board John Humbach applies his strong belief in environmental and aesthetic preservation to safeguard the community of Mount Vernon and to protect the city’s varied and rich architecture. Appointed to the Architectural Review Board in 1988, he became chairperson in 1994. Serving on many community and regional groups, he has worked to retain much of the city’s architectural character. |

| George Weeks Town of Ossining Planning Board George Weeks, a lifelong resident of Ossining, was an integral part of the formative processes shaping the town for more than 40 years. He served on the Planning Board since 1970 – most of those years as Chairperson. He spearheaded reforms to the comprehensive plan, developed construction standards for infrastructure and saved two historic cemeteries from certain ruin. these successes are capped by his dedication to an open, inclusive planning process. |

PRESIDENT’S AWARD
| Ann Gallelli Village of Croton-on-Hudson Trustee A founding member of the 1986 Local Revitalization Plan committee, Ann Gallelli has long worked to develop environmental laws and long-range development plans for Croton-on-Hudson. She served as the Chair of the planning Board from 1989-1992 and again from 1997-2005. Beginning in 1998, as Chair of the Village’s Comprehensive Plan Committee, she worked to spearhead the plan’s adoption in 2003. Having served two terms as a Village Trustee in the 1990s, she was elected again in 2006 and is currently serving a third term. Ann Gallelli has been a Director at Large of WMPF for a decade and was its President from 2008-2010. |

SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
| Benjamin S. Engle Columbia University Benjamin Engle, a life-long resident of Westchester County, is pursuing a Master of Science in Urban Planning from Columbia University. He has a BS in Environmental Science and Policy from Union College. He currently works as an intern with the New York City Metropolitan Transportation Authority and has worked as an intern in the Schenectady County Department of Economic Development and Planning. |
